Girls Varsity Soccer Gets Thrilling Victory

Congratulations to EL Haynes girls varsity soccer on their thrilling 5-4 victory over Bell HS in the first round of the Petworth Cup. Jessica Marroquin scored four goals, and Margareth Uyu-Ardon added one more. Ana Garcia and Cinthia Mejia also contributed with assists, and Jessica had an assist as well.
Wish the best of luck to the Mountain Lion ladies as they advance to the Petworth Cup Championship against the Latin Lions on Saturday. They play at 12:30pm at Roosevelt HS. I’m sure it will be an intense and competitive match. We hope to bring home the championship!
